The Princess Project

Ahhh Spring! Well… Almost. Close enough to begin fantasizing about flirty sundresses, sun-kissed golden skin, long days, late nights, an increase of half-naked men running through the park…

The beginning of spring always feels like a re-birth to me. An awakening from winter hibernation (Quick get me some sandals, My toes need to breath!) Spring is like a delicious appetizer to all the gluttony summer has to offer, Bon Appetite! As we wax, scrub, and buff our winter blues away, don’t forget to schedule that deep cleansing of your home: SPRING CLEANING!

Along with hitting up your stove, refrigerator and baseboards with reckless abandon, now is the perfect time to give your closet a well-deserved colonic and get rid of all that sh*t you no longer fit, wear, or need. (You ladies know what I mean; I know you need all 5 pairs of those hot pink bejeweled 4 inch stiletto sandals.) I’m talking about the pair of shoes you bought on sale three years ago that were a size and a half too small, the pants from high school that will fit perfectly after you lose those 5 extra pounds, the bridesmaids dresses - let’s face it- they can never be shortened and worn again.

In the spirit of spring cleaning I have the perfect Cause Fabulous for you. In a few months million of high school girls will be attending the event which they feel will be the most important of their lives, their Grammys, their Oscars, their Senior Prom! And just like any major night in our lives, all that excitement comes at quite an expense. According to Your Prom magazine high school girls spend an average of $530 on prom a year. Thankfully fabulous organizations such as The Princess Project has made it their cause to make sure that every girl feels like a princess on her prom night!

The Princess Project promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing free prom dresses and accessories to high school girls who cannot otherwise afford them. As the costs to attend high school prom soar, The Princess Project has made this tradition a reality for over 6,800 Bay Area girls since 2002.
